Terms of Use
Last updated 8 September 2026
These terms cover your use of HumAIn Academy, an AI-literacy course provided by Softway Solutions. You accepted them when you set up your account, and we recorded that you did — this is version 2026-09-08. If we change them materially we will tell you by email rather than rely on you re-reading this page.
If you would rather not accept them, don't sign in — and tell whoever invited you, so they can take you off the list.
How you get access
Access is by invitation only. Your organisation asked us to enrol you, and your organisation can ask us to remove you. There is no public sign-up, and you cannot create an account yourself. If your relationship with that organisation ends, your access will normally end with it.
The course is for people aged 18 or over, in a workplace context. It is not for children.
Your account
Your account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself, do not let anyone else sign in as you, and do not sign in as anyone else. If you think someone has got into your account, tell us at contact@softwaysolutions.com and we will close it off.
Amie can be wrong
Amie is an AI companion. She is generated by a language model, and like every such system she can be confidently mistaken — a wrong fact, a misremembered detail from an earlier conversation, a plausible answer that is simply not true. The course says so on screen, and we are saying so here.
So: treat what she says as a starting point, not as an authority. Nothing she or this course produces is professional advice — not legal, financial, medical, security, or HR advice — and you should not make a decision that matters on her word alone. Check anything important against a real source or a real person.
What you may not do
- Try to reach another learner's account, progress, or conversations — or any part of the system you have not been given access to.
- Probe, scan, or attack the service, work around its rate limits, or try to get at the underlying models or infrastructure.
- Copy, download, re-record, or redistribute the course videos, transcripts, or interactions, or use them to build a competing course.
- Use automated tools to interact with the course or with Amie in place of actually taking the course.
- Send Amie other people's personal information, confidential material belonging to your employer or a client, or anything unlawful. She is a learning companion, not a safe place to put secrets.
- Try to make Amie produce harmful, hateful, or unlawful content, or to get her to ignore the way she has been set up.
If you break these terms we may suspend or close your account, and we may tell the organisation that invited you.
Who owns what
The course — its videos, writing, interactions, design, and Amie herself — belongs to Softway Solutions and its licensors. You get permission to use it for your own learning while you have access, and nothing more. That permission ends when your access does.
What you write stays yours. You keep whatever rights you have in the messages you send Amie and the answers you give inside the course. You give us permission to store and process them to run the course for you, as described in our Privacy Notice — and no wider than that.
Availability
We will try to keep the course running and working, but we do not promise it will always be available or always be correct. We may change, pause, or withdraw parts of it, and we may end the course altogether — including where the arrangement with your organisation ends.
The course is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows us to say so.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we will tell you by email rather than rely on you re-reading this page. Continuing to use the course after a change means you accept the updated terms.
